Storyboard draft

              Storyboard Ideas

My storyboard

This is an image displaying all my drafted ideas I have come up with. Later, we will be coming together to combine our ideas into one whole storyboard which will be the basis for our whole music video. This will help us plan and design what shots to create, and the story we want to craft. This will also help to embed are improvements we received from the Prelim task.

Copy of the group storyboard

This is the final storyboard we have produced. We combined are individual ideas with the group, and merged them into one storyboard, formatted in a way which will provide the best story telling for are music video. The concept we have came up with, is that we are following the artist on a journey from one place to another, in search of a role model but to no avail, he ends back where he started.

Audience Feedback

In response to my storyboard, people found that it displayed a clear structure, and a defined story element to it. In comparison to the pre-lim storyboard, The prelim contained multiple random different shots that were not in order. This reflected upon the final piece, as it didn't have a story element to it. Therefore, the audience said that it worked on the improvements of the prelim task which they liked.

They also talked about the different shot ideas I had. For example, the drone shots specifically attracted the attention of the audience, as they thought it would be excellent in capturing artistic and unique shots from an aerial perspective. They also liked my locations, especially the theatre as the equipment (lighting) allowed us to capture great visuals. They also liked the fact that I choose to cut to the beat, and graffiti locations as these all help portray the overall conventions of the rap genre
